Knowles' Andragogy asserts that as adults mature, they accumulate experience that becomes an increasingly important resource for learning. Experiential learning theory, developed by David Kolb, is based on the idea that learning occurs through experiences. Teachers should draw on students' past experiences when problem-solving, reflecting, and developing clinical reasoning to help examine biases and move toward new understandings.
