I am pleased to present to you in this communication the Italian artist Pasquale Raffaele D’Orlando.
I believe that your organisation might be interested to know more deeply about the work and thinking of this
Master of Universalism.
D’Orlando is an artist/researcher par excellence. Throughout his activity he has developed work and new
philosophical/artistic theories, associated with his universalist thinking.
One of his phrases encapsulates the essence of his cultural revolution: “In the Renaissance man saw himself as being at
the centre of the Universe; with Universalism man considers the Universe as his centre”.
In his spherical “universi” whose sculptures created in the “fourth dimension” fly as if without gravity, with D'Orlando
the conceptual infinite dimension of the Universe comes to be physically realised, containing in itself all the dimensions
of Art and Thought.
In his paintings of the nude “donne universo” in which he expresses the Man-Universe relationship, using the two
dimensions, the artist succeeds in conceptually representing the Universe.
In his work as an artist: his writings, the 17 manifestos on Universalism and his scientific conceptions, D'Orlando
recreates the important link between Art, Philosophy and Science.
The Universalist Movement, in its program of development and diffusion of culture and art, is pleased to present to you,
with this communication, several works supported by a brief curriculum and résumé of the concepts of the Italian artist
Pasquale Raffaele D’Orlando.
We are suggesting this artistic artefice of ours with the hope that your organisation might be interested in attaining a
deeper knowledge of the work and thought of this Master of Universalism.
