Over 5,000 students live in poor housing conditions each year. A new startup called Shelta aims to provide affordable housing solutions to these students by building compact, fully furnished one-room flats that are rented at low monthly costs. Shelta's business plan shows there is a large market of over 20,000 new students and 5,000 students in need of housing each year. The founders have experience in real estate development, manufacturing, and information technology that will help Shelta successfully launch and achieve profitability within three years of operation.
