The paper concludes that in order to conserve fresh water resources, the current water management system needs to be restructured to allow for more reuse and recycling of water to adequately meet public needs. - 1. Allison Vaughan HDFS 2303 October 14, 2013 Module 6 Assignment 5 One of the strongest continuous relationships I had throughout middle childhood was with my brother, Kevin. Kevin was born a few months before my 7th birthday. We are 6 and ½ years apart. After Kevin was born I was confused that a new baby took up so much of my parents time and that I was now expected to spend most of my time playing alone. However, once my brother was able to crawl, I discovered that I had a new playmate. Every day after school, I would come home to play with my brother. Since I was older I was usually the one who choose what to play, meaning that we played a lot of Barbie. Having a younger brother has taught me that sibling relationships are different than any other relationship. A sibling is someone who understands you in a way that your parents don’t, and unlike friends, sibling relationships are permanent. I have learned many things from having a younger sibling, such as how to share, how to be a good leader, and how to give advice. I hope that my brother has also learned many things from me. I liked how chapter 10 touches on sibling relationships, since most children have siblings, and I feel that the order in which a child is born has an impact as well. I always thought that my brother was lucky being younger because he had me to watch, so when he went to school he already knew what to do, whereas I had to figure out everything on my own without the guidance of an older sibling. I realize however, that this has taught me many leadership and problem solving skills. Overall, I am grateful to have a sibling and for everything that having a sibling has taught me.
