REFLECTION PAPER ON MY PLLP
According to Confucius, “Those people who develop the ability to
continuously acquire new and better forms of knowledge that they can apply
to their work and to their lives will be the movers and shakers in our society
for the indefinite future”.
Learning should never stop. It is a continuous process that every
individual need in order to reach their specific goal in life. Although the
advancement of technology makes our life easier and helps us learn
something new each day by merely browsing from it, self-initiated learning
helps us achieve our set goals. Thus, being a lifelong learner is a must in
order for us to adapt to change brought about by the fast-paced society we
are living in.
As for me, this Personal Lifelong Learner Plan (PLLP) helps me study
and analyze what 21st century literacies I need to develop or to enrich further.
It is difficult to start with since it requires self-evaluation and many things to
consider. It took me days to draft my plan. I searched for different samples on
the internet and upon scrolling I realized that the majority of it has similarities.
It is all about drafting learning vision and in order to do that I should begin
with the end in mind. It needs to be futuristic but of course the goals should
be measurable. The resources needed should be taken into account since
the majority of the literacies being mentioned requires attending seminar-
workshops. In reality, it will be hard for a teacher like me who struggles
financially to spend on seminars. I just hope that Deped will offer more free
training or scholarships like Guro 21 Courses. However, completing this PLLP
brings a feeling of satisfaction. I know that this will serve as a guide for me to
become a better person and a teacher to my students.
