WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT 1: DESCIPTION OF THE SOCIAL BEHAVIOR AND RELATED CONCEPTS
3. It has become a culture that food is given a serious photo shoot before being touched. It has
become the most seen scene that photos are given higher priority than eating; cameras are well
prepared when the food are to be served instead of the cutleries.
Usually when food is served, he will start taking photos like paparazzi. Front elevation, side
elevation, top elevation, cross section, panorama etc.. The food has to be left untouched until the
whole scanning process is done thoroughly. I call this social behaviour “Meal was last seen”, and
the group of people: Foodographer.
It actually annoys me when I see foodographers at work. I’ll stereotypically categorise them off
as attention seekers as they post what they ate 3 meals a day, 7 days a week on the social media.
In my point of view, the more time the food waits, the more time it’s exposed to harm. But after
a few times of enquiring, I realize there are a few of them that freelance as a food blog author.
It’s actually their job to take appealing photos of the food before writing their review.
I perceived and categorized this group of people as attention seekers using representative
heuristics. They have the similar characteristics as an attention seeker as they showcase their
living experiences on a public platform.
