I went to document life around Everest just a week after 16 Nepali Sherpa guides were killed in an avalanche. This was the deadliest single accident in the mountain's history, where over 4,000 people have reached the summit and about 250 have died climbing it. The document contains photos that depict the daily life of porters and climbers in the Everest region of Nepal, including trekking routes, villages, monasteries, schools, and the Everest base camp.
