The Gamble House was built in 1909 in Pasadena, CA by the Greene brothers and is considered an exemplary example of the California Arts and Crafts style. It was inspired by Japanese architecture and Eastern US Craftsman homes. The house features abundant woodwork, furniture, and details made from local materials like teak, oak, and mahogany. To this day, the Gamble House remains influential in showcasing the Arts and Crafts movement and is still used by students to study its design principles.
