The document discusses the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the hope and joy it provides. It describes how Jesus' resurrection offers hope in the face of death, suffering, and difficulties in life. It provides three key experiences of salvation through Christ's resurrection: 1) the joy of salvation through justification, sanctification, and glorification; 2) the joy of sufficiency in that Christ's resurrection is enough to solve any problem; 3) the joy of relevance in that the resurrection power can overcome any situation in life and give new life, hope, and an identity in Christ.
You are dead. Anyone that is not a Child of God is dead in their sins. Jesus’ resurrection provides us hope for eternal life. Four points noted from 1 Corinthians 15: Salvation, Hope, Life, and Victory.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
1. DEATH & RESURRECTION OF JESUS
The Ultimate Joy & Hope for all phases of our Life
In our earthly lives, even the person with the most successes would have encountered heartbreak,
disappointment, setbacks, and failures, personally and professionally. Man is looking for a greater reality
than this life, and death cannot claim final victory over life. The resurrection truth of Jesus’ death, burial,
and resurrection brings so much hope to a hurting world. This resurrection hope is what sustains us from the
very beginning; having hope makes all the difference in the face of death. We do not merely have a generic
hope for the resurrection of the dead, but rather one that is concretely based on faith in the resurrection of
Jesus from the dead. Our attitude towards death should be determined by our attitude in our encounter with
the death of Jesus Christ. Whenever we believe this historical, relational, and transformational incident and
receive Jesus in our hearts, we will receive salvation. The implication of our salvation provides to enjoy and
experience the ultimate joy and hope in all phases of our life along with the salvation. Some of the most
important experiences are as follows:
1) THE JOY OF SALVATION: Christ’s death and resurrection are the evidence of our justification, the
cause of our sanctification, and the pledge of our glorification. It is the hope of our eternal and complete
victory and the door of hope that will make you sing and triumph over death (1 Corinthians 15:55). We are
brought to paradise by four streams: (a) His justification by which He justifies us; (b) His sanctification by
which we that lay among the pots are made white as a dove; (c) His wisdom by which we are conducted to
heaven; and (d) His redemption by His complete victory. One of the most well-known Bible verses says
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, he
entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us” (Hebrews 9:12). He has “put
away sin by the sacrifice of himself” (Hebrews 9:26). Christ has died and, risen again (Romans 8:34). “For
while we were enemies, we were reconciled by his death” (Romans 5:10). His resurrection is a great pillar of
justifying faith; “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”
(Romans 5:1). We have Christ’s death as the door of hope to overcome our sins. Christ’s victory is that He
has in His person overcome principalities and powers and has made an open show of them. He has likewise
overcome death and the grave. That is evidence of your victory and overcoming; for there is a great
similarity between the head and the members of the body.
2) THE JOY OF SUFFICIENCY: The Resurrection is Sufficient for any and every problem we face the
resurrection of Jesus Christ is enough. The reason for this truth is not difficult to see If death is the greatest
problem we face and death is not prevented in any other way then resurrection’s victory over the grave
solves our greatest problem. And if resurrection delivers death its death blow by raising us to new life in
Christ, then it follows that the same God who grants us resurrection life has the power for us to help us with
any lesser trauma or trial. Christ’s resurrection grants hope that the God who raises the dead will supply you
with all the grace you need to walk with Spirit-given power. The resurrection promises – new life in Christ!
2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away;
behold, the new has come. Death is appointed for all of us sinful children of Adam. And so, our hope is not
found in bargaining with death or denying its existence, rather we cling to Jesus Christ who died and rose
again, who has made a way for us to have a life of everlasting. This is our eternal hope, may we never turn
from it!
3) THE JOY OF RELEVANCE:
Some of us feel dead inside
Some of us are going broke and you’ve lost hope
Some of us don’t even know if we believe in God anymore
Some of us have wounds from the past that we think will never heal
Some of us feel your marriage is dead and should probably be buried
Some of us are so down on yourselves that we don’t even want to go on living
Some of us are struggling with a sin or an addiction – drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, gambling
Some of us have believed and prayed for something for a long time and you’ve given up hope of ever
receiving an answer
……The power of the resurrection of Jesus will change every situation and phase of our lives and give us
hope to live. The most powerful resurrection in life happens when we are born again. The Bible teaches that
before we believe in Christ, we are dead in sin. Ephesians 2:1; 4-5 says: Once you were dead because of
2. your disobedience and your many sins. But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even
though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by
God's grace that you have been saved!).
The Christian life is a dying life; dying to sin (Colossians 1:22; Galatians 5:24). But it
is also a life in the power of Christ’s resurrection (Philippians 3:10). The cross must have an overwhelming
influence on how Christians should live and the motives for their life. They walk in loving obedience, a love
that is derived from Christ’s dying love (Ephesians 5:2).
The resurrection power of Jesus can overcome anything!
Resurrection power forgives all our sins!
Resurrection power cancels out our past life and gives us new life.
Resurrection power gives us a new identity in Christ.
Resurrection power gives us hope for our future!
1 Peter 1:3 says: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new
birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In other words – when we have faith in
Jesus Christ – when we believe in His death and resurrection – we have a new birth. We are born into a new way of
life. We are born into a new family called the family of God. But we are also born into hope.
