5. Habakkuk's Burden
• God , why aren't you listening? - 1:2
• Don ’t you see what’s going on ? – 1:3
• This isn't right ! – 1:4
• Aren't you in control ? – 1:12
• How can you allow this to continue ? – 1:13

6. The Lord’s Answer
• “I know what I’m doing and working in ways you cant understand” –
1:5 - 6
• “Trust me , I’m telling the truth” – 2:3
• “My plans are bigger than Babylon or Jerusalem” – 2: 12-14
• “I and I alone , am GOD” – 2:18 -20

7. The Turning Point
• “You are , the I AM” – 3:2a
• “I remember your past judgments” 3-2b
• ”I am distressed and don't know what the future holds” – 3:16a
• “Yet I will quietly wait for you , Lord” – 3:16b

8. The Lesson For Us
• If my hope is built on anything other than God ,I’m depending on a
foundation too fragile.
• To love , trust and pursue any thing more than God ,is Idolatry (2:18 -19)
• As long as we love , trust and pursue anything more than God , Joy
will always escape us.
• When we trust God to be my strength, my hope and My Savior - I will
find Joy , regardless.
