Foreword
On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally welcome you to our 61st auction
we have held over the last 14 years. We are excited to offer over 1350 lots of rare and desirable U.S., Chinese & Worldwide
Banknotes, Scripophily, Coins, Historic Ephemera and Security Printing Ephemera. Also included in the auction are
numerous rare and desirable items consigned from numerous estates and longtime collections with many having never
been offered previously at auction.
The auction will be held in 3 sessions over 2 days. Included will be over 550 lots of World Banknotes, Coins, and
Scripophily on Day 1 and over 800 lots of Scripophily, U.S. Banknotes, Security Printing Ephemera lots and related
material on Day 2.
Highlights include a fresh estate coin collection never offered previously at auction; over 400 World banknotes with many
group lots as well as desirable rarities; Over 500 Issued and specimen Bonds and Shares with additional selections from
the American Bank Note Archives; U.S. Large and Small type banknotes; and hundreds of desirable banknotes, stocks,
bonds, historic ephemera and related items.
We are now working on our late Fall 2020 and Winter 2020-21 auctions and are actively seeking consignments, so please

Exchange drafts of First, Second, and Third Exchange Payments for the National Bank
of Australasia payable in London at their London branch of the bank. Approval date
and signature on bottom dated June 16th, 1873. The National Bank of Australasia was
a bank based in Melbourne. It was established in 1858, and in 1982 merged with the

Pair Australia, 1890s. Includes uncut proof sheet printed on thick india type of paper
of First and Second Exchanges from the Union Bank of Australia. Sailboat in distance
illustrated at top center. Fine condition with some staining. The Union Bank of Australia
was an Australian bank in operation from 1837 to 1951. The bank remained open
throughout the economic crises of the 1890s. It acquired the Bank of South Australia in
1892. By its centenary in 1937, it had 267 branches and agencies through Australia and
New Zealand. It merged with the Bank of Australasia to form the Australia and New
