Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in the sacred
coastal town of Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India. His humble

He was the son of Jainulabudeen, a boat owner and an imam, and
Ashiamma, a homemaker. Despite financial challenges, his parents

graduated with a degree in Physics from Saint Joseph’s College,
Tiruchirappalli, in 1954, laying the scientific foundation for his future
