2. About Us
We are a group of Syrian journalists and media people who founded Apamea association
to be independent of any party or political trend. We founded it to be specialized in all
fields of e-media and journalism training, taking into consideration that freedom of
Syrian people was born with the start of the great Syrian revolution.
Location
Apamea's head quarter is in Damascus, the Syrian capital. Apamea staff work hard to
cover all the events in different Syrian governorates by a group of qualified
correspondents and journalists who put their safety on stake to convey the truth freely to
all Syrians.
Vision
To build unique free professional journalism in all Syrian areas that work on covering
what is taking place on the ground and reporting it to public opinion, so Apamea is going
to be number one free media association in free Syria.

To be number one in working objectively and professionally in free
media, in order to meet society intellectual and education needs.
Values
1- Professionality:
Professionality means to Apamea adhering fully to international codes
of ethics in media, reporting different opinions, accepting constructive
criticism from anyone, concentrating on discourses that enrich the
political, intellectual and education diversity in Syria, and avoiding
discourses like:
• cursing or breaching public morality
• sectarianism, racism or religious prejudice
• offending anybody regardless of their beliefs, posts or thoughts

Apamea adopts objectivity as a permanent course of action that
comprises covering events and reporting news as they happened
without any kind of exaggeration or distortion. Objectivity is associated
to a large extent with credibility because credibility depends primarily
on the integrity of correspondents, journalists and editors in their way
of working and reporting news in Apamea. Objectivity in Apamea
simply means integrity.
3- Transparency
Apamea is keen on showing the truth boldly without fear or submission
to any authority but consciousness taking the responsibility of
observing society, shedding light on its mistakes, and suggesting logical
and practical solutions. This requires using media efficiently to serve all
members of the society.

It shows clearly that our discourse is completely independent of any
political trend or agenda, whether set internally or externally; however,
we work according to our codes of ethics to bring the truth out in a
way that serves individuals and society.
5- Accuracy
We, in Apamea, believe that accuracy is not only collecting documented
information, but also reporting opinions and events clearly, honestly
and impartially. Apamea defines accuracy as "the other side of truth".

6. What Makes Us Different?
Apamea qualified staff, reporters and correspondents working in
Syria, present special media production by writing news stories
and reports in creative ways. In addition, our correspondents and
editors present 24 hours- live coverage to report events through
various means of communication.
Apamea offers special purpose training courses to those who like
to join its editorial staff, where they will be trained on modern
editorial theories by using specialized technical means.

7. Goals
 To participate in the process of developing free media in Syria by offering
alternative media networks free consultations on media for six months.
 To build good relations with different revolutionary and independent local media
networks; and Arab and international media associations.
 To offer those who like to join Apamea staff professional journalism training by
holding training courses every three month for a year in an ideal environment.
 To participate in upgrading society during the revolution and after it via
presenting variety of media products, which contribute to developing society
intellectually and educationally on a daily basis.
 To help our audience understand what is happening and know about analysts and
specialists' opinions to form their own opinion.
 To present immediate reports of events and to satisfy readers' desire by providing
them with the latest news on a daily basis.
 To encourage professional journalists to be creative and productive by offering
work opportunities in Apamea different departments.
