3. Classification basis on MOA
1) Alkylating agents-
• It alkylation the malignant cell by acting on
the guanine base of RNA and stop cell growth.
Eg- Busulfan, Chlorambucil, Cyclophosphamide,
Dacarbazine, Lomustine, Melphalan, Thiotepa.
11. 2) Antimetabolites-
They are developed by metabolism activity
which inhibit the growth of malignancy.
Eg- Azathiopurine, Cytarabine, Fluorouracil,
Mercaptopurine, Methotrexate, Thioguanine.

They are the agent which make changes in the
hormones and just to suppress the growth of
malignancy
Eg- Megestrol acetate(Breast cancer)
