2. What are antineoplasm?
• The agent which are used to manage or treat
or stop the malignant disease.
• Therapy used in today's world are ionizing
radiation, surgery and chemotherapeutic
agents.
• Anti-cancer are agent which increase the
survival time of patient.
• They increases the immunity and suppress the
growth of tumor and pain.

3. Classification basis on MOA
1) Alkylating agents-
• It alkylation the malignant cell by acting on
the guanine base of RNA and stop cell growth.
Eg- Busulfan, Chlorambucil, Cyclophosphamide,
Dacarbazine, Lomustine, Melphalan, Thiotepa.

11. 2) Antimetabolites-
They are developed by metabolism activity
which inhibit the growth of malignancy.
Eg- Azathiopurine, Cytarabine, Fluorouracil,
Mercaptopurine, Methotrexate, Thioguanine.

17. 3) Antibiotics-
It interferes with the DNA synthesis and
inhibit the growth of malignancy.
Eg- Actinomycin, Doxorubicin, Daunorubicin, etc

21. 4) Hormones-
They are the agent which make changes in the
hormones and just to suppress the growth of
malignancy
Eg- Megestrol acetate(Breast cancer)

23. 6)Miscellaneous compounds-
Eg- Hydroxyurea, Mitobronital, etc
