2. PREAMBLE
RANASC is an acronym of Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria's Anti-Social-vices Club.
It is a faith-based attempt to cooperate with other Non-Governmental Organizations
to bring various moral and social challenges under deliberate check. The object of the
club is in keeping with the main aim of the Royal Ambassadors instituted in its
founding goals and pledge that is, helping young people to Become well informed
and responsible in their Decision making and lifestyle, with direct focus on social,
moral, and spiritual wellbeing. We approach our plans and vision through (faith
based) religious and moral education, because we are convinced that it is through
such teachings that the club can address the prevalence of social-vices and other
Moral decadence. The RANASC was established in April 2004 at the Federal Capital
Territory. Abuja during the occasion of the Royal Ambassadors 90 Session; while the
OSUN State Branch was launched in August 2005.

Our mission is to seek all godly ways of effectively equipping youths to take
informed decision and at the same time empower them to actively participate in
developmental and reformatory processes of their age and nation, Nigeria.

To promote moral chastity, influence social Behavior of youths.

3. OBJECTIVES
1. To improve the moral standard of youths through enlightenment programmers
2. To reduce prevalent rate of social vices by enabling adolescents and youths to take
responsible decision.
3. To empower entrepreneurial capacity of youths and adolescents.
4. To create sense of self-reliance among youths and develop their leadership
capacity.
5. To encourage healthy life style among adolescents and youths.
6. To promote the witness of the Baptist ministry as well as network with national
and international agencies, NGOs and other faith-based organizations on social issues
of common concern.
4. OUR APPROACH
A. ADVOCACY APPROACH
Information is an end to reformation. We seek to employ the effective approaches
and tools of Information Education and Communication (IEC). The following are
some of the methods used by the OSUN State chapter of RANASC:
1. Interpersonal Advocacy Approach: This approach employs a one-to-
one method of advocacy that seeks to convey the message of moral education to
prospects.
2. Print Advocacy Approach: We employ the powerful tool of production
of informative literatures, sign posts, banners, flyers, using IEC materials
3. Media Advocacy Approach:
i. We create awareness through radio and television jingles and public caution.
ii. We look forward soon to the birth of a weekly radio programmer tagged "FUN
ATUNSE WON “
4. School Advocacy Approach: We concert every effort to restore sanity
and restorative educational system in our schools through the following ways:
i. Organizing talks, seminars and workshops among students.
ii. Organize annual inter school essay competition that sensitizes students and
teachers on the dangers of being involved in immorality and other social vices.
5. B. YOUTH EMPOWEREMENT APPROACH
1. Economic Empowerment: This is aimed at establishing vocational
training and provision of financial assistance for youths. This vision is born out of
our conviction that unemployment increases the rate of social vices.
2. Leadership Skill Acquisition: This also is aimed at inculcating the
concept of participatory development that equips the youths both to acquire and
harnesses their God-given leadership skills that can help them to become self-reliant
in life.
3. Community Development: The strength of the youths is the basis for any
nation's present and future achievement. We aim at equipping them toward
discovering and channeling their potentiality towards developing their immediate and
larger communities through innovation and creativity
4. Career Counseling: Guiding the youths on career choices will not only
build their self-esteem, it also fosters the future prospects of any land.
5. Democracy Sustenance: We aim at equipping the youths on their roles
towards the sustenance of democracy; electoral monitoring and shunning of violence
in democratic governance.
6. Ministry to the Less Privilege: We aim at rendering necessary
assistance to the less privileged and handicapped and build their self-esteem. We also
aim at referring them to appropriate quarters for assistance and care.
6. C. HEALTH APPROACH
Immorality and sexual harassment are forms OF Social-vices which increases the rate
and risks of HIV/AIDS and other STI’s hence the club adopts the following
approaches
1. TLW & Morality Campaign: TLW is an acronym of True Love Waits.
It is the Royal Ambassadors vision of campaign against indecent (sexually arousing)
dressing and abuse of the sacred sexual gift. The morality campaign focuses on
shunning drug addiction, child trafficking, pornography and prostitution, abuse of the
Internet and electronic media, and other related social ill acts.
2. Student Outreach Program me: This is a routine sensitization
program on reproductive health issues for students at all levels of academic
institution.
3. Village Outreach Program me: A monthly awareness program me on
hygiene and sex education for villagers and rural dwellers.
4. Parent to Child Educative Program me: This is a deliberate
attempt to enlighten and inform parents on the need for effective sex education, moral
teachings and to facilitate a good parent to child relationship.
5. BAAPP: BAAPP is an acronym of Baptist Aids Awareness and Preventive
Program me. We aim at championing full support for this joint and umbrella vision
through training and advocacy programs as well as preventive measures against the
pandemic of HIV/AIDS and other STIs. We also fight stigma on people living with
HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and solicit assistance for them.
D. STATISTICAL AND ANALYTICALAPPROACH-
We aim at collecting, analyzing and evaluating data in order to diagnose the major
causes of social vices and proffer appropriate control measures. It also makes
appraisal of the activities carried out.
