2. WAT THAI
Temple
Located in North Hollywood California,
Wat Thai of Los Angeles is the first Thai
Buddhist temple to be organized in the
United States of America. This temple is
well known to all people Buddhist or not,
at this temple they practice all the
Buddhist ceremonies and festivals to
spread our Thai cultures to visitors
throughout the year.
3. “Offerings”
Inside these silver pots, people drop off their
offerings. They don’t just drop it in any pot;
The pots are in order starting with Monday
and ending with Sunday and Wednesday is
divided in to two pots one of them is
Wednesday morning and the other one is
Wednesday night so it’s a total of 8 silver
pots. According to the day the individual was
born is where they drop off their offerings.

5. Entering the
temples
when you walk in any of their praying temples
you are expected to take off your shoes.
Before doing anything, you are expected to
ask the god for permission. Before i took any
picture I had ask for permission.
6. Each temple has specific gods. as we can see
they have a lot of flowers, candles and
decorations. As I was walking around I also
noticed a lot of the gods had unique gifts. Such
as food, pictures, and hand made jewelry.
7. Something that caught my eyes when I visiting
one of the gods temple was a coin tosser.
Anyone can toss a coin and make a wish.
10. “Good Luck”
This God is seen in many Thai food
restaurants, and it’s known to give good luck;
when you rub his belly. I noticed a lot of the
statue are gold. One can also see a lot of
elephants and bamboo trees.
