Anne Bogart is an American theater director born in 1951 who developed the Viewpoints technique for actor training. She founded the SITI Company in 1992 and has authored several books on theater including The Viewpoints Book and A Director Prepares. The Viewpoints technique focuses on movement and spatial relationships through nine viewpoints like tempo, architecture, and kinesthetic response. It is used to help actors think abstractly and express emotion through their physicality on stage.
