A shepherd boy watching his flock became bored and cried "wolf" twice as a prank, even though there was no wolf. When a wolf actually did appear, the villagers did not believe his cries for help. As a result, the wolf was able to attack the sheep. The boy learned an important lesson that lying reduces trust, and the truth is important.
1) The story is about a public school teacher named Ma'am Fuentes who visits the home of two sisters, Rose and Daisy Buhay, after they had many absences from her class.
2) She discovers that the sisters only had one pair of shoes and would take turns wearing them to school. A tragic accident occurs when Rose is hit by a truck while the sisters were buying another pair of shoes.
3) Ma'am Fuentes blames herself for Rose's death, realizing she should not enforce a strict uniform policy that prevents students from attending class. She tells the class they are always welcome in her class even without complete uniforms.
