Anderson County School District 2 and 3
Bundled Energy Solutions

Anderson County School District 2 and
3 in South Carolina enlisted ABM’s
Bundled Energy Solutions (BES)
program to provide energy efficient
upgrades and facility enhancements to
eleven schools within the county.
Due to limited funds, the school districts
were unable to make needed
improvements to the students’ learning
environment as their primary focus was
on enhancing the educational
curriculum.
ABM offered the school districts a
customized solution that provides
general fund relief and allows for
needed infrastructure improvements. In
District 3, upgrades were made to three
elementary schools, the middle school,
the high school and Board of Education
building. With District 2, enhancements
were made to three elementary schools,
two middle schools, the high school and
the primary school.
Both projects combined are estimated to
save Anderson County School District 2
and District 3 over $6 million in energy
and operating costs over a 15-year
period.
CHALLENGE

infrastructure improvements without
placing burden on the general fund
SOLUTIONS
