named Re
Each god was worshiped and loved by a certain city in Egypt
and therefore had many monuments
Each and every animal had a different meaning.

Usually gods and goddesses were half human and half of

There were thousands of different gods and goddesses that
the Egyptians believed in and worshiped in their everyday

Some of the names of the gods were Horus the god of the
sky, his evil brother Seth , Thoth the god of wisdom and
counting and Khnum the creator of god

Everything that was important in the Greeks life from a
harvest, to winning the war, and to a successful parade
was marked by the religious rites
There were many gods in Greece that were very

there were also many gods that weren’t talked about
like Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing

gods they worshiped
They worshiped many range of gods from Olympians
to local heroes

Mesopotamians believed that after life consisted in the land
right below use called Arallu
They expressed their beliefs by following the Sumerian and the
East Semitic Akkadian
Also Mesopotamians drew paintings of their gods and beliefs in
caves
The gods supplied the people with all the goods they needed
to thrive
Mesopotamians believed that the world was a big flat disc
Mesopotamia #2
They also believed that the space came from the waters of
Earth
When somebody died they wrapped them in a reed
matting, or they slowly placed them in a large coffin if they
were popular or a greater value
They made little stone statues with big eyes in their temples
and they worshiped them
Mesopotamia Religion died or passed out about 1700-1600
years ago
They built Shrines and temples to worship there gods

usually built by a man named Vitruvius
There human sacrifices usually was held outside
Romans loved to name their gods and goddesses after planets (Jupiter
king of gods, Neptune god of sea, Mars god of war, Saturn god of time
etc…)
It was believed that the gods controlled the people
Each and every Roman household would have an Alter and a Shrine they
would worship
Every god would have their own festival held each year
The most important god of all was Jupiter, the king of all the Roma gods
that lived
Modern Canada’s Religion

There are several different religions in modern
Canada
Even though there are many religions there is no
official religion
It was claimed in 2001 77% of Canada was Christen
Most Christen citizens of Canada go to church at least
once a year
The Jewish religion in Canada I pretty much as old as
Canada its self
Surprisingly only 1% of the Canadian population was Buddhist in 2001
A few of the different religions are Christen, Buddhist, Hinduism,
Judaism, etc…
