2. JOB PROFILE:
1. Handling RIL commercial Horticulture production of different fruit
crops like Mango, Amla, Sapota, Guava, all arid crops on 600 acres of
land.
2. Maintaining Asia’s Largest Mango Plantation- Lakhibaug (1, 38,000
Mango plants of 130 different mango varieties).
3. Plantation & maintenance of various ornamental & landscape species
and their maintenance.
4. Production and sale of 50,000 Mango Grafts on Israeli var-M-13/1 a
salt tolerant rootstock feasible for the Saurashtra region every year.
5. Plantation of all Mangos and floriculture / landscape their updated
maintenance as per the technology manuals.
6. Prepare calendar of operation for Fruit orchards and landscape
7. Prepare scope of work regarding updated maintenance of fruit crop
and Landscape plantations.
8. Calculate Input requirement for procurement and get sanction from
management.
9. Timely compilation, preparation & submission of Revenue & Capex
Budget in consultation with Head Technology for further approval.

3. 10. Effective monitoring of the various cultural operations such as
manuring, fertigation, weeding, training, pruning, thinning,
harvesting, grading etc.,
11. To identify, report to Head (Tech) and take timely control
measures for diseases and pests in respective area.
12. Undertake trials on various inputs, new species & R&D activities
under the guidance of Head Technology.
13. Planning & scheduling of crop harvesting and marketing of the
produce as required.
14. Manpower planning, monitoring the field work & coordination
with the contractor.
15. To monitor safety & security of plantations, produce. Assets and
manpower etc., in respective areas.
16. Prepare proposal for nursery with the help of Head Technology
and get it approved for further development.
17. Undertake nursery planning, selection, propagation &
implementation of nursery related activities for sales and/or captive
consumption.
18. Conduct VVIP visits as per schedule like Government officers,
Politicians, Foreign delegates etc.
19. Implementation of Drip/Sprinkler Irrigation system in township.
20. Rejuvenation of 40 years Old Mango orchard at, VMD complex.
21. Renovation of existing gardens like re-dibbling of lawn, removal
of overgrown shrubs & trees etc.
22. In house nursery developed at Reliance farm.

WORK DONE:
 Handled about 2000 acres of horticultural plantations of Mango, Citrus,
Guava, Aonla, and Banana under HDP and UHDP system.
 Conducted different trials on UHDP, PGR, (Cultar/Auster), farm
mechanization, and pest & disease resistance on Mango, Banana, Citrus,
Pomegranate, Coconut and Cotton.
 Worked as an Internal Auditor for Global-GAP (Food-Cert) Jalgoan &
Udumalpeth (Tamilnadu) farm of JISL since 2007 to 2011.
 Handled project of UHDP on Mango and Citrus.

5.  Conducted awareness program for the small and marginal farmers
about UHDP, drip irrigation, fertigation, IPM, PGR, in different parts of
the country round the year.
 Establishment of UHDP orchards of mango and guava at Jalgaon and

konkan areas.

• Identify prominent belts of sweet orange cvs. Valencia late and blood
red malta (hill strain) for lower and mid hills of Uttarakhand.
• Standardized nucellar/polyembryonic method of propagation for sweet
orange for hilly region of Uttarakhand.
• Develop packages of practices for protection against frost/hail injury in
citrus at research station & Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lohaghat
(Uttarakhand)
• Developed and standardized method of vegetative propagation like Air-
layering/soft wood grafting in jackfruit for Tarai region in Uttarakhand.
• Find out suitable planting system for higher yield and quality of guava
fruits.
