The document describes the author's impressions of two historical images. The first image showed a large hall decorated with chandeliers and curtains, where wealthy married couples sat at round tables to watch small stage performances of piano music. The second image depicted a smaller stage with floor seating at tables and a magician performing, indicating an event for wealthy audiences.

1. Analysing Images
My first impressions of the first picture were:
• Very huge halls which were decorated with lots of detail, with a
lot of lighting, chandeliers, round tables for the audience's to sit at
and big curtains.
• The stages were quite small and had instrument's like piano's.
• The atmosphere look's very lively as i guess it was a place to
socialize. The audience were white and mostly wealthy married
couples.
• The more affluent the people were the better the seat they had.
Judging by the musical's they would come and see they must have
been extravagant civilised people.
My first impressions of the second
picture were:
• The stage is quite small, however
different to the first one as you can
see there are only people sitting on
the floor with tables, not on top
like the first image.
• There are obviously majority rich
people, as only wealthy people get
does sort of seats.
