An Analysis of Internet Addiction
      Levels of Individuals
 According to Various Variables

INTRODUCTION
   Concept of internet addiction refers to
    the excessive use of internet which in
    turn causes various problem in
    individuals, social and professional
    aspects.
PROBLEM STATEMENTS
   levels of internet addiction which cause
    excessive use of internet by the
    individuals from different age groups
    and in turn leads to experiencing various
    problems
RESEARCH QUESTION
 What are the internet addiction levels of
  the individuals?
 Do internet addiction levels of the
  individuals vary according to age group?
 Do internet addiction levels of the
  individuals vary according professional
  group?
 Do internet addiction levels of the
  individuals vary according to gender?
THEORY/MODEL
 Internet Addiction Scale (IAS) in
  developing instruments
 Kaiser-Meyer-Oklin (KMO) and Bartlett
  test analyses were performed to test
  structural validity of the scale
METHODS
 Descriptive study used survey model
 Personal information form and Internet
  Addiction Scale
 Arithmetic mean, standard deviation,
  independent sampling and t test,
  ANOVA and LSD test – collected data
 Sample : 596 individuals
FINDINGS
 Individuals had low levels of internet
  addiction (in sub-scales & general
  scales) according to age groups
 There are differences between internet
  addiction among students and other
  professional groups
 Internet addiction levels of males were
  higher than females
