2. INTRODUCTION
• Robert Fishko joined Forum Gallery in 1983 and continues to manage all operations at
the modern and contemporary art gallery as director and chief executive officer. In
addition to overseeing both artist and customer relations, among other responsibilities,
Robert Fishko spends time engaging with professional organizations such as the Art
Dealers Association of America.
Established in 1962, the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) functions as a not for
profit network of the country’s premier fine arts galleries. Galleries can only become
eligible for ADAA membership via invitation by the organization’s board of directors.
Invitations are extended to leading galleries that have not just established track records
of displaying works of high aesthetic value, but that also function through transparent,
competent business practices. Additional areas of consideration range from the qualities
of exhibitions hosted by the gallery to scholarly catalog publishing efforts.
Above all else, ADAA membership is offered only to groups with comprehensive
knowledge and experience in the field of fine arts. Today, the organization’s membership
