1. An Interview with Daniel Kaufman, President of Reagan Wireless
Since 1994, Daniel Kaufman has served as the President and CEO of Reagan Wireless, a wholesale
retailer of cellular phones, parts, and accessories located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Reagan Wireless
has built upon its success in the cellular phone distribution industry in its local community in Florida and
in other domestic and international markets. The company’s 36,000-square-foot warehouse contains a
vast selection of cellular phones, batteries, headsets, cases, cables, and other products. I enjoyed the
chance to talk with Daniel Kaufman about Reagan Wireless earlier this week.
Q. First, I want to thank you for taking time out of your schedule to talk with me today. What specific
objectives do you maintain for Reagan Wireless?
A. We strive to provide unbeatable prices for our clients around the world. Our wide assortment of
phones and accessories offer clients several different choices when choosing a phone from the Reagan
Wireless stock.
Q. I understand that Reagan Wireless also functions as a recycler of cellular phones. Can you tell me
more about that?
A. Reagan Wireless recycles over 95% of its disposable materials—this includes parts like LCD displays,
OEM batteries, keyboards, and plastic components. In addition, we comply with several environmental
codes and agencies, including the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive, the Restriction of
Hazardous Substances Compliance, the Deerfield Beach Environmental Agency, and the Environmental
Protection Agency. We work hard to keep Reagan Wireless a green company, and we’re proud of our
efforts to keep cell phones and electronic parts out of landfills.
Q. Lastly, what are some of the deals you offer customers at Reagan Wireless?
A. We offer weekly deals that provide wholesale customers inexpensive ways to purchase like-new
items. Some examples of these deals are $3 HTC chargers, $45 HTC EVO LCD digitizers, and $8 HTC
Touch Pro 6850s in good condition, and $25 Sierra Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot. We require a
minimum order of $250, and customers can sign up for text message alerts so they can stay updated
about great deals.
