A 15-20 Second Film that follows the rush of
tidying a bedroom when you’ve only a few
minutes to spare.
QuickTime™ and a
'avc1' decompressor
are needed to see this picture.
What direction shall I follow?
- The room is tidied with no problems
- The room does not get tidied in time
- The room is tidied, only to be ruined at the end
- Consistently failing at tidying the room (e.g. constantly dropping
things, tripping over etc)

Editor's Notes

  • #3 15 second film Reassurance I could create something similar
  • #4 15 seconds 19 cuts
  • #5 Does not feel like 15 seconds We are used to seeing 90 minute films 90 minute films have the time to have long shots This does not No shot is too long or too short The sound we hear iterates what is on screen
  • #6 Enhances the importance of good cinematography Rule of thirds Depth of field directs our focus Forces us to look at elements straight away
  • #7 No feeling of added sound effects The sound you hear is exactly what you would in that situation Sound flows just like the story no sound sticks out Calming, same level sound
  • #9 - 15 seconds 18 cuts No logical journey, more emotional Build up of tension by dialogue
  • #10 Off tripod creates excuses not to cut Made me think about transitions To create fast paced work, show time passing Whip pans
  • #11 Diagetic sound - sound from within scene Non diagetic sound from outside, mood sound, narrator
  • #12 Show this because it focuses more on transitions
  • #13 Use quick cuts to my advantage Link each shot to the next
  • #18 Confined me to one spot Everything would surround around the one object - e.g. a phone, a desk
  • #19 Too spread out to give a sense of urgency cover a lot of ground within a short amount of time Lack in shot variety, different angles
  • #20 Contain within a room Different shots and actions within the room
