Tips:
1) Please call the clinic or Pharmacy location most convenient to you or that accepts your insurance policy
for the vaccines required to confirm availability and for appointments.
2) Always ask if there are any discounts for self-pay as the cost of filing medical paperwork is usually added and can
be subtracted for self-pay persons or a discount for prescriptions can be applied.
3) If insurance coverage is available, you can see your primary care physician (PCP) to have the vaccines provided
or prescribed, and medications filled at the pharmacy where it is available and/or covered by your insurance
carrier. Many PCP offices do not carry more specialized travel vaccines (e.g. Yellow Fever or Typhoid).
4) Some vaccines (Hepatitis A and/or B; Influenza (flu); Tdap) can or have been provided via regular yearly doctor’s
visit. Check with your PCP and/or your shot records prior to obtaining any travel vaccines.
5) A Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test (TST) is recommended before travel and 8-10 weeks after returning.
Travel Medication Costs as of December 2017 (self-pay- without insurance covered).
(Tip: Always ask if there are any discounts for self-pay as the cost of filing medical paperwork is usually added and can be subtracted for self-pay
