Three American swimmers set new world records at a recent qualifier for the Pan Pacific Para-Swimming Championships. Rebecca Wheeler of Washington lowered her own world record in the 50m butterfly with a time of 1:45:27. Rebecca Meyers of Maryland broke the record in the 1500m freestyle in 17:53:90, beating the previous mark. Ian Silverman, a USC student, finished the 150m free S10 under the existing world record of 16:24:63 with a time of 16:19:70.
