2. I do not think that the injustices in this case, have so much to do with the ineffectiveness of the Italian criminal
justice system, but more in the prosecutor alone. If it were not for the automatic appeal given to convicted
murderers in Italy, then freedom may never have been a reality for Amanda Knox. If convicted in the United States,
provided it was not a capital crime, then she, like so many others who claim wrongful convictions,would be fighting
for an appeal. From the beginning, it was apparent to me, that the prosecutor developed his theory of sex and
sadomasochism as a reaction formation to his own unwanted sexual desire for Miss Knox. To put it lightly, he was
nuttier than squirrel turds. Thank God, for the normal human beings who were able to filter-out the garbage
presented about her, and come to the proper conclusion, which was to set her free.
