Honeywell AM-250
Barometric Altimeter
A new generation of low-cost altitude indicating products
makes RVSM affordable for a broad range of aircraft.
he AM-250 integrates Honeywell’s silicon pressure
sensor and outstanding product support with the
successful line of indicator products produced by its
alliance partner, AMETEK Aerospace. The best of
today’s cost-effective technology is now available for a
broad range of business jet and general aviation aircraft.
The AM-250 is a cost effective solution for RVSM’s
dual altimetry system requirements on new and retrofit-
ted light jets, such as the LoadMaster 200 and
CitationJet.
The AM-250 Barometric Altimeter is an altitude
measuring product which incorporates Honeywell’s high-
ly accurate silicon pressure sensor. It is Reduced Vertical
Separation Minimum (RVSM) capable.
In addition to full analog and digital displays, the
altimeter has two displays to indicate barometric offset
in hectoPascals or inches/millimeters of Hg. A rotary
encoder and push button switch allow the entry of baro-
metric offset and auto barometric set. The altimeter is
internally lighted to provide optimal viewing.
T
The AM-250 is available in grey or black.
Some key features include:
· Segment LCD display of barometric altitude in 20-foot
increments
· DC Resolver pointer of altitude between 1000-foot levels
· Barometric offset display, set through the BARO knob, in
inches of Mercury and hectoPascals (16.00 to 32.00” Hg)
· Barometric standard push button (29.92” Hg)
· Altitude deviation warning annunciator
· Failure warning annunciator
· Up to three ARINC 429 outputs that support standard air
data labels
