science, the next generation science standards, assessment in science,
scientific explanations, and other necessary skills for teaching in a
science classroom
My role – Lead instructor in daily classes, evaluated all classroom
activities, critiqued all science lessons to be taught in the field
experience associated with this course.

The required field experience that is in conjunction with the
Math/Science methods courses for all preservice elementary education
majors. The course is designed for the preservice teachers to put into
practice the theories they are learning about in the methods courses
and implement a math unit and a science unit in the field. The first
have of the field experience is focused on math and the second half is
focused on science.
My role – Lead field supervisor that led weekly workshops in the field,
evaluated the math lesson plans, observed and critiqued all lessons
being taught, and offered feedback on all elements of the course
(Formative Assessment interviews, model building exercises, and all
lesson study sessions).
