Re-read Chapter 7 sec 1 A Loose Confederation (page 200-204) ANSWER THE FOLLOWING 6 questions in your notebook

    1) Why did states want written constitutions? ( 2 reasons)



    2) What kind of government did the articles of confederation set up?



    3) Why did Shays Rebellion worry many Americans?


4) Choose one of the problems the nation faced in 1787. Then, write a letter to a delegate to the upcoming Philadelphia
Convention. Suggest one idea to solve that problem.




5)Look at the MAP in SEC 1. called “CLAIMS to Western Lands”
   (1) Describe the region that was considered “the West” in the 1780s.

         Write a paragraph describing what would have happened if Virginia had won all of its land
         claims.
