Writing a vision statement for your business is a daunting task. For one thing, it must define your company and, more importantly, its future. For another, you don't want it to be relegated to a forgotten poster hanging in the office lobby. A powerful vision statement stays with you, such as Disney's "to make people happy" or Instagram's "capture and share the world's moments." If you are intentional in your efforts and committed to doing the hard work, you can create a vision statement that encapsulates your organization's core ideals and provides a roadmap to where it wants to go.
What is a vision statement? Similar to a mission statement, a vision statement provides a concrete way for stakeholders, especially employees, to understand the meaning and purpose of your business. However, unlike a mission statement – which describes the who, what and why of your business – a vision statement describes the desired long-term results of your company's efforts. For example, an early Microsoft vision statement was "a computer on every desk and in every home." "A company vision statement reveals, at the highest levels, what an organization most hopes to be and achieve in the long term," said Katie Trauth Taylor, CEO of writing consultancy Untold Content. "It serves a somewhat lofty purpose – to harness all the company's foresight into one impactful statement." Why does this matter? Research shows that employees who find their company's vision meaningful have engagement levels of 68%, which is 18 points above average. More 2 engaged employees are often more productive, and they are more effective corporate ambassadors in the larger community. Given the impact that a vision statement can have on a company's long-term success and even its bottom line, it is worth taking the time to craft a statement that synthesizes your ambition and mobilizes your staff.

I’M ERIN, and I’m the founder of Alkalign
Here’s what I am looking for in you: you’re here
because you believe in strength, alignment, and
nourishment—for yourself and others. You’re here
because you’re a leader, a fighter, and you’re
someone who works hard each day to achieve the
kind of balance needed to step out of your comfort
zone and make real change.
Here’s what you should know about me: I believe in our franchisees, and I believe in
Alkalign—completely—and I live it every day. I’ve been in their shoes: I was a
franchisee for more than 7 years before starting Alkalign. I saw what worked, what
didn’t and imagined what I would do differently.
This means that Alkalign is built on years and years of the successes—and
challenges—of a franchise-model business, and that this opportunity is designed with
the franchisee in mind. Alkalign is ready to partner with you to build the best
business we can.

OUR GOAL
Our goal is to help people find a dynamic relationship
between strengthening the mind, aligning the body and
nourishing the soul—in every location and community
possible. But that doesn’t mean we’re looking for fast
growth or to spring up in every city. We believe in balance
first, and that applies to our business goals as well. We’re
looking for the right people, in the right locations—those
who truly want to change their work lives by changing the
lives of those in their communities.
WHAT IS
ALKALIGN?
Alkalign is more than a fitness studio—it's a lifestyle. We
go beyond the barre for a variety of offerings and class
formats that incorporate elements of strength, balance
and mobility.
It’s also more than a business opportunity. Franchisees
will be working with our executive team, including a
dedicated training director and manager of franchise
operations—with a combined 30 years experience in the
fitness industry. In addition, we retain a full-service
creative studio devoted to maximizing Alkalign’s potential
through web and print media, video, photography, and
social media strategy. Alkalign is invested in evolving our
business and supporting the whole you.
