and different national cultural traditions. The heart of the ancient city is Rynok Square the four corners of
which are decorated with fountains depicting Greek Gods. You will enjoy architecture of the Gothic Latin

the all-Europe-famous Golden Rose
Synagogue, magnificent city fortifications,

Lychakiv Cemetery
It is one of the most unique complexes among historical-cultural monuments of Lviv, one of the most
valuable collections of highly artistic necropolis sculptures.It is the burial place of many outstanding
Ukrainian and Polish people who lived and worked in Lviv. Many artistic sculptures made by prominent
European artists. The cemetery is often compared with the cemetery Per la Chaise in Paris and Highgate
cemetery in London.

Golden Horseshoe of Western Ukraine
Oles’ko Castle. Built on the top of a picturesque hill and surrounded by a splendid park it is considered to
be an outstanding relic of architecture and history of XIII - XVIII centuries.
From powerful fortress XIV century. the castle had been developed into a residence of Polish magnates and
was rebuilt in the spirit of Italian Renaissance in the 1620s.
Now a rich collection of unique works of paintings, sculpture, applied art X - XIX centuries are exhibited in
the museum.
Pidhirtsi Castle. The former residence of Polish gentry families is considered to be one of the most
beautiful pieces of fortification architecture in Ukraine.
It looks more like a palace than a fortress. The ensemble of XVII c. includes the palace enclosed by ramparts
and ditches, the Baroque Latin cathedral, entrance gate and park of XVIII c with old branchy lime-trees.
Further on we move to Zolochiv Castle erected in 1630s as a citadel with bastions. It is surrounded by high
ramparts with hexahedral watchtowers and contains
Big palace built in late-Renaissance style and Chinese palace. The three castles are the main points of
Golden Horseshoe that runs among picturesque wooded hills with ancient golden-domed churches
The marvellous view of landscapes will give you a real pleasure.

Zhovkva
An incredible amount of historical and architectural
monuments are situated on a small piece of territory of the
ideal city of Zhovkva…
If you would like to feel how King Jan III Sobieski lived, a
favorite King of Poland, the winner of the battle near Vienna,
the great military leader; if you would like to know about
other great persons in Zhovkva, to know their joy and
tragedies, open the veil of daily royal deeds, then you should
enjoy:
Royal Castle, which hides a lot of stories and puzzles;
Former greatness and splendor of the royal park where
oranges, figs and snailswere specially grown for the royal
table;
"Little Wawel" - St. Lawrence Church, a burial of Zholkevskys
family and a defensive bell-tower;
Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Dominican
monastery, Renaissance synagogue – the sacred places of
different religions and nations, the construction and
development of which involved by the Sobieski family.

Museum Pharmacy «Pid Chornym Orlom» (Beneath the Black
Eagle)
A museum related to pharmaceutical history was opened on
the premises of the old pharmacy in 1966. The idea of
creating such a museum had already come up in the XIX
century. The Galician Association of Pharmacists was created
in 1868; members managed to assemble a small collection
of exhibits, thus making the first step towards creating a new
museum. Nowadays, the exhibition has expanded
considerably, with 16 exhibit rooms and a general exhibition
surface totalling 700 sq. m. There are more than 3,000
exhibits in the museum.
This is the only operating Museum Pharmacy in Ukraine and Europe. Just beside the unique pharmacy, you
can visit the museum itself, which presents rare and curious exhibits, assembled by scientists, pharmacists,
and enthusiastic collectors.
Today, the pharmacy operates daily; here, you can still buy all your required medicine, as well as the
renowned «Zalizne Vyno» (Iron Wine).

Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life
Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life i situated near by
Vysokyi Zamok (High Castle) in beautiful park - Shevchenkivsy Gai
on North -East part of the Lviv city. The museum have been
created by the ethnographic principle in 1971. Main aim of the
museum is conservation of the wooden folk architecture, everyday
life artifacts, art artifacts from all ethnographiczones. Every zone
consist different objects - buildings, practical and manufactory
buildings from last three centuries. The museum is one of the
biggest open-air museum in Europe nowadays. Every object
consist special and authentic interiors and it gives full imagination
of daily life, work and leisure of the Western Ukrainian village.
The museum consist 105 of folk architecture objects. Among them presented oldest church from Kruvka
village (1749), other objects buildings from 1792, 1812, 1846, 1860, as well as wind mill, oil manufactory,
pottery.
Very rich is museum collection. They consist almost 22 000 objects. There are collection of clothes, furniture,
music instruments, ceramic, jewelry, icons, church accessories. Museum collection counted 120 very rare
and unique old prints.
Open-air Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life in Lviv became favorite placefor Lviv citizens and
guests of the city. Visitors can enjoy of museum collection and arts. Many tourist from different cities and
countries visited the museum and amount of the visitor counted 150 thou per year.

Museum-Arsenal

Museum-Arsenal is an exposition department at Lviv
Historical Museum, opened in May 18, 1981 at the
former City Arsenal - an outstanding architectural
monument of the 16th century (Pidvalna St., 5). The
exhibition represents the examples of ancient
weapons from more than 30 countries. The
exhibition is based on chronological and thematic
principle, according to the type and place of
weapons manufacturing. The chronological limits of
the items exposed cover the 11th – early 20th
centuries and give an idea of weapons evolution,
weapons types, kinds, production centers, aesthetic
tastes of gunsmiths masters, level of technological
development of the society and so on. Luxury decoration of many units allows us to talk about them as
about the works of applied art. Many items are decorated with precious metals, precious stones, ivory,
pearls, coral, mother of pearl.
The Museum-Arsenal represents all the main types of weapons: cold, fire, articles of defensive weapons.
Cold weapons are the most widely represented: knives, daggers, swords, sabers, épées, yatagans, axes,
halberds, maces, czekans, pernaches.
The exhibition represents all types of medieval swords: belt swords, half-handed swords, two-handed
swords. The blades of many swords are marked with signs, symbolic signs, inscriptions. Interesting is two-
handed sword from the 14th century, its handle head is decorated with brass cross - the sign of Teutonic
Order. This exhibit is a witness of heroic struggle of Slavic peoples against German knights.
Huge two-handed swords from the 16th century which were used in the defense of fortresses for throwing
down assault ladders surprise by their size, they were used by the guard of generals and flag.
Museum-Arsenal is a unique museum, which has no analogues in Ukraine.

Museum of Beer
On October 4, 2005, on the occasion of the 290th anniversary of the founding of the Lviv brewery,
the first in Ukraine Museum of Brewing in Lviv was opened, whose goal is to open to each visitor the
inexhaustible depths of the beer world: to bring the wonderful drink to the mystery of birth, to learn
the history of its origin, to survive the tradition of production and Consumption of "Lviv" beer and
to feel its magical taste.
The museum presents an
exclusive collection of various
exhibits, among which one
can see ancient beer bottles
with branded marks on glass;
Ancient beer circles,
originating from different
countries of Europe and
made in different styles;
Barrels for transportation of
beer, promotional products,
prescription books of the late
XIX century; The legendary traditions of making an amber drink at the Lviv brewery are covered in
detail. Visitors to the museum can watch a video about the oldest brewery in Ukraine, visit the tasting
room, which will please all beer lovers with the assortment of beer "Lvivske". Every adult visitor can
truly appreciate the taste properties of a legendary drink, buy souvenirs.
The museum covers an area of 600 square meters of semi-basement areas of the Lviv Brewery. The
exposition of the museum tells about the history of brewing in Lviv and the Lviv brewery. The
exposition presents mock-ups and real tools of brewers of past and present, collections of beer
barrels and bottles, samples of advertising, etc.
At the end of the excursion, guests will also taste different types of beer in the tasting room.

They are based on numbers stated in the program and are estimated on 2017 prices
Albatros reserves the right to adjust elements of the quotation should the program change. These include the
alteration of venues and the reduction of numbers from that listed above. Prices are based on anticipated numbers of
guests. Rates may increase and/or services/venues may need to be changed if numbers should increase or decrease.
Any changes in minimum or maximum numbers may result in re-costing of services.

Albatros will always try to keep cancellation fees charged by suppliers to a minimum. Any changes or cancellation of
program must be received in writing.
