The Alaska Department of Transportation Public Facilities (ADOTPF) has signed a two-year term contract with Quantm Ltd., with options for three annual renewals, to provide its regions and project managers with access to Quantm's route optimization system. The system allows transportation planners to integrate environmental, community, engineering, and cost factors into route selection. It is expected to help ADOTPF manage consultation processes, demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations, and identify the most cost-effective alternatives. No other technology was found that could provide the same capabilities during a notice of intent to award a single source contract.
