Four hundred and eighty-one students from 32 countries were welcomed at the Asian Institute of Technology's (AIT) orientation on August 4, 2016. This was the largest cohort over the last five years according to AIT President Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai. The students came from Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas with the largest groups being from Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal. Forty percent of admitted students were female. President Worsak described AIT's international perspective, regional orientation, multidisciplinary approach, and politically neutral stance.
The document summarizes recent news and happenings at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand. It discusses the president's mid-term report which highlighted achievements and his vision to position AIT as a leading global research institute. It also details new partnerships signed, degrees awarded, research rankings, fundraising successes, and restructuring of the AIT administration.
An agreement was signed between the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency of Thailand (NSTDA) to cooperate in research and education. The agreement allows 11 NSTDA researchers to work as adjunct faculty at AIT and gives AIT access to NSTDA research facilities. The researchers will come from several NSTDA research centers, including those focused on genetics, electronics, materials, and nanotechnology. The agreement aims to help AIT and NSTDA create a premier technology and knowledge hub in Thailand through their collaboration.
AIT held its 125th graduation ceremony where 481 students from 27 countries received their degrees, with Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam having the largest number of graduates; the graduation address was given by representatives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the European Union, and prominent alumni also spoke at the event.

The show included various performances such as dancing, singing, drama, and talent acts. Separately, the PEA of Thailand signed an agreement to send 24 staff to AIT master's and PhD programs over 4 years in areas like energy and ICT. The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand also signed a partnership with AIT for training and business development. Additionally, Pruksa Real Estate donated a 1 million baht scholarship for an Indian student and AIT recognized several faculty promotions.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
