Georg Cantor was a German mathematician who lived from 1845 to 1918. He is considered one of the founders of set theory and developed the theory that there are different infinite set sizes, with the set of real numbers being larger than the set of natural numbers. Cantor also studied the properties of infinite sets and their cardinal and ordinal numbers.
