This document summarizes a study on spatio-temporal dimensions of rural family violence in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The study had four main goals: 1) Identify hot spots of family violence, 2) Identify temporal trends, 3) Identify correlates of family violence from Census Data, and 4) Perform regression analysis on best correlates. Census data on factors like female-headed households with children and married households with children correlated with family violence. Analysis found more incidents occurred between 4pm-12am than other times. Issues included lack of modifiable socio-economic data and impact of including/excluding urban data.
