The West African Development Bank (BOAD) approved financing of about FCFA29 billion for new projects. This includes loans for drinking water supply projects in Cote d'Ivoire and a landfill site project in Lomé, Togo. An existing loan for a toll motorway project in Senegal was also consolidated with additional funding. Other approved loans included projects for cardboard packaging production in Mali and rural electrification in Senegal. The Board also approved a line of credit from the Islamic Corporation for Private Sector Development to strengthen BOAD's support for small and medium enterprises.
