The student was assigned in college to produce television advertisements for either "Hello York" or "Factory Media" to promote extreme sports to a target audience. They chose "Factory Media" because they enjoyed extreme sports. During pre-production, they created still image mockups in Photoshop to help envision the atmosphere and style of the final video. The project interested them in advertising as a potential career in graphic design since it motivated them to try new techniques for engaging specific audiences.

1. During college we had to produce television idents for
either ‘Hello York’ or ‘Factory Media’. We did this to
advertise Extreme Sports to a certain audience. I chose
to do Factory Media, as I really enjoy extreme sports.
Whilst we’re doing all pre production we have to
produce some still image mock ups of what we want
our final piece to look like on Photoshop. This helps us
to set an atmosphere and get a feel for what we want
when out filming.
As advertising would be one of my main interested in
Graphic Design this is something I find really
interesting and motivates me to try out new
techniques which can catch the attention of specific
audiences.
