A Day To Remember.
A Day to Remember is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida.
Founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby
Scruggs, the band has released four studio albums, nine singles and eight
music videos. They are mainly known for their unusual amalgamation of
metalcore and pop punk as a musical style.

A Day to Remember have been described by critics as metalcore, pop punk, post-
hardcore, and emo-pop. They have been described as a fusion of "emo, hardcore, and
metal". A Day to Remember's song structures typically follow a metalcore verses and
blends into a more pop punk style chorus. Fans and critics alike have described this
blend as "pop-mosh," "popcore", and, more recently, "easycore"

The second album called ‘for those who have
heart’ it consists of very simple artwork and
doesn’t really have any meaning towards the
name of the album. The artwork is clever in
that it is simple as it brings all attention to the
band name which is essential for a band that
have just started making albums as they will
want to be recognised.

This album was then re released with other
tracks on. They have used the same font on
both albums for the band name and album
name. The only thing they have changed is the
image, I think they have done this because this
is more of a band logo so fans can recognised
this and see that the albums are not different.
Homesick is the third studio album by A Day to
Remember, released on February 2, 2009 in
Europe and February 3, 2009 in the United States.

The album cover artwork is done by Dan
Mumford, which is obvious to people who know his
work as its all similar.

‘They are mainly known for their unusual
amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk as a musical
style.’ Which we can tell from the album covers as they
have a features of dark and twisted elements within
the artwork. The tree branches follow onto the back
so they match. The album is called homesick, which is
presented within the album cover as there is a black
silhouette that seems to be lost in a forest so therefore
away from home and could be homesick.

The fourth album they released called ‘what
separates me from you’
The artwork for this is very clever in the fact that
there is a man in an egg timer trapped and there
are many people walking past. Showing his
segregation from the rest of the world.

The single released from off the album
‘all I want’ has the same concepts as the
album artwork in the fact that it’s the
same layout and has the same characters
arm which was in the egg timer but laid
out in broken glass and sand. Which
shows us that the egg times has broken
and he is no longer separated from the
world.
