Buckcherry has grown to be one of the best rock bands of our generation. With their 2006 album "15" they really left a footprint in the rock n roll genre because of its aggressive yet contained style. Follow the link below to hear my thoughts:

15 by Buckcherry (2006) ALBUM REVIEW
1. 15 by rock band Buckcherry (Released on April 6, 2006 in North America) their
third studio album.
Artist Background
Buckcherry was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1995. They released two
albums, “Buckcherry“ (1999) and “Time Bomb“ (2001), before dissolving in the
summer of 2002. In 2005 signer Josh Todd and lead guitarist Keith Nelson
reformed Buckcherry as we know them today.
“ The band appeared as part of Mötley Crüe's Crüe Fest, along with Papa
Roach, Sixx:A.M., and Trapt in 2008.
“ Albums with the next lineup (besides 15) include: Black Butterfly, All
Night Long and Confessions.
Album Background
“ This album is considered by many to be the bands best album as it has been
certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales of 1,000,000 (one million) copies
surpassing their debut self-titled album, which sold 750,000 copies. This album
became the first Buckcherry album to reach the Top 40, peaking at 39.
“ The singles off this album include: Crazy Bitch, Next 2 You & Sorry
“ The Japanese version was released on October 15th 2005 and features two
bonus tracks “ “Back in the Day“ & “Pump it Up“. Pump It Up, was used by NHL's
Edmonton Oilers as their introduction song.
The Singles:
“ “Crazy Bitch“, the lead single off this album was the bands song to hit
the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, debuting at #99 on May 6, 2006
and peaking at #59. It received a nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance at
the 49th annual Grammy Awards and was covered by the Phil Lewis version of L.A.
Guns on their 2010 cover album Covered in Guns.
“ “Next 2 You“, the second single off this album, peaked at No. 18 on the
Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
“ “Sorry“, the fifth and final single off this album has become their
highest charting single to date on the US Hot 100.
Track by Track Review:
1. So Far “ This song is a fast-paced rocker similar to any song on the bands
self-titled debut. The song also features some fast and catchy instrumentals,
especially guitar, which almost sounds punk inspired and vocals that pull the
listener into the album.
2. Next 2 You “ This song is one of my favorites off the album. This song
carries a soft of swagger or swing to it without the use of a real beat, which
is cool to see. The lyrics on this song are some of the best on the album, as
they contain a catchy hook that is delivered perfectly in the classic Josh
Todd fashion of quick, catchy yet aggressive and rough vocals.
3. Out Of Line “ This song starts with some groovy voice box effects and bass
similar to something Bon Jovi has done in the past; this addition really sets
the tone for the song. After the slower start the song explodes in a faster rock
tempo with some aggressive vocals and instrument work; led by some with an
awesome guitar work and drums. Overall I would say that Buckcherry sounds a lot
like 1970“s AC/DC in this song.
4. Everything “ This song is another favorite of mine off the album. This
song opens with some very interesting U2-ish ringing guitars that continue
throughout the song to create a sense of modern mellowness that can be heard in
the laid back but extremely catchy vocals and awesome instrumental work.
5. Carousel “ I liked this song as well. It is a mellow/slower song that
opens with some nice guitar work that flows throughout the song. This song gets
extremely catchy, especially vocally during the chorus, where some nice
background vocals by Josh really caught my attention. I would say that after
one listen you will be jamming out and singing along to this track.
6. Sorry “ I remember being hesitant about this song when I first heard it
because of it ballad sound; however as hearing it only once I fell in love.
This song was Bucherry“s first balladry song. It features some slow paced
instrument work and soft spoken, heartfelt vocals in which Josh Todd expresses
his sorrow and love for his wife actress Mitzi Martin after they experienced
some relationship issues.
7. Crazy Bitch “ This is the first Buckcherry song I ever heard; honestly
after hearing it I knew I would love this band. This song is everything you
would expect in a Buchcherry song- it loud, aggressive and just plain bad ass!.
2. The lyrics are extremely blunt in contain as they express the bands quest to be
dirty. This song was inspired by Paris Hilton's use of a sex tape to rocket
herself to stardom and the band's own past with those they deemed "crazy
bitches.
8. Onset – This song is very much underrated. It–s a simple fast-paced song,
almost Time-Bomb esk, with awesomely catchy vocals and guitar work.
9. Sunshine – This song is again very much underrated. This song is kind of
fast –paced, although not as much as –Onset–. It has an almost punky
sound( because of the fast guitar) with more awesome guitar work (great solos)
and some nice vocals that somehow sound slightly more aggressive than the rest
of the album
10. Brookyln – This is the bluesiest song on the album. In true blues form
this song features the slide guitar,. I like the slide guitar. Buckcherry are
very talented, this shows they can do a lot. It's sort of bluesy country without
being really "southern accent" type of country, it's like hard rock country
blues.
11. Broken Glass – It's heavy without crossing into metal territory. It's
still hard rock, definitely something to put the audience into a frenzy, and a
great way to finish the album
Favorite Songs:
Next 2 You, Everything, Crazy Bitch, Sorry, Onset, Carousel, Sunshine
Positives
– I love the fact that Bucherry shows how diverse they can be with the blues
inspired track,; I wish they would do more of this.
Downsides
– None really
My rating 9-9.5
