14. MACHINE LEARNING
Machine Learning is the main set of techniques to generate artificial intelligence applications
currently in the industry.
Machine Learning implementation is based on the creation of models that allow smart predictions.
An ML Model is built from 3 key concepts as
illustrated in the diagram:
● Selection of an algorithm
● Data set
● Training processes

15. SUPERVISED LEARNING
the supervised learning algorithm can use a trained dataset to understand the difference between two types of
objects (Penguins and Kiwis). The algorithm analyzes the different features (hair, color, eyes, ears, etc.) to learn
what each object looks like. Then, an unknown data point is introduced (a Penguin). Using its past training, the
algorithm will predict which category the data point falls into.

16. THE PROBLEM BEGINS
When data points are projected in higher and higher dimensions, it is hard for classical computers to deal with
such large computations. Even if the classical computer can handle it, it would take too much time.
Simply put, sometimes, classical machine learning algorithms are too taxing for classical computers.

17. HARDWARE SOLUTION?
Dedicated GPU clusters can be used to improve the inference performance & significantly reducing
training time.
But… Remember that HARDWARE is CAPITAL INTENSIVE & always has a limit.
