ADA PED RAMPS PRESENTATION

Editor's Notes

  • #3 -Disabilities are not as strong as us, decrease slopes -Codes change over time. Need to update the curb ramps as new codes published
  • #5 -United States Access Board, AdA Best Practices Tool Kit for State and Local Governments, and 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design
  • #6 -Listed the curb ramps that are located close to Parks, Hospitals, and Schools
  • #7 Caltrain’s standard plan for all the curb ramps cases. - Case A, B, and C are the most common in Alameda County.
  • #8 -3 different scoring system due to 3 different cases, A, B, and C (different criteria are being measured) -points assigned based on all the curb ramps that were being investigated. Poor condition does not necessarily mean bad; it just says it is bad when comparing it to rest of the curb ramps so that we can prioritize which curb ramp needs to be fixed.
