TOURIST BUS
Physical: the bus has a ramp which is activated manually by the driver, 1 m wide, 86 cm long
and an inclination of 38%. If the ramp is deployed onto the pavement, the inclination is 25%.
In the interior, the space for wheelchair passengers has a width of 95 cm.
Auditive: SL: No. Magnetic loop: No.
Visual: guide dogs are admitted. Audio guides are available in several languages, without audio
description.
BELLVER CASTLE
Physical:
• Ticket offices alongside the car park area:
Reception desk adapted for wheelchair users, height 80 cm, lower height 73 cm and depth 60
cm.
Ramp 2.02 m wide, 9.16 m long and with an inclination of 4%, with double handrail at heights
1.05 m and 70 cm and a baseboard of 10 cm on the raised side.
• From the ticket offices to the entrance to the castle:
- Pavement 2.37 m wide, reduced to 1.70 m in some zones, with lowered accesses with
podotactile paving.
- Alongside the access stairway to the castle there is a sign with the ISA indicating the
direction to follow for the accessible itinerary.
- Ascent by side street with asphalt paving and pronounced upward slope.
- Ramp with wooden flooring, with landings every 9 m, 1.34 m wide, double handrail at
heights 1 m and 73 cm, with grille with gaps of 1.5 cm at the start of the ramp.
• Entrance to the castle: door 2.12 m wide.
Exterior zone of the castle:
- Paving of stone slabs which may hamper walking in some zones due to damage.
- Width ≥2.35 m.
- Some zones with slight inclination.
Interior of the castle:
- Stone paving which in general does not hamper walking.
- Hallway 2.26 cm wide.
- Inclined surface of access to the courtyard 2.30 m wide, 2.16 m long and with an
inclination of 7.5%.
- Width of circulation in inner courtyard ≥2.63 m.
• Museu d’Història de la Ciutat (City History Museum):
- Entrance: door 1.48 m wide
- Ramp 1.15 m wide, two sections of length 2.19 m and 4.48 m and an inclination of 7.5%.
Double handrail at heights 1 m and 68 cm with baseboard of 8 cm.
- Interior circulation: stone paving, which may hamper walking, and wooden floorings.
Passages of ≥85 cm and widths of exhibition rooms ≥2 m.
Lift: width 80 cm, depth 1.20 m. All the exhibition rooms on the ground floor have a step of 15-
20 cm at their entrance.
Toilet reserved for wheelchair users with ISA sign.
Sliding door 79 cm wide.
Turning diameter: Ø 1.45 m.
Side approach space of 1 m.
Alarm button.
Height of washbasin 85 cm.
Lower approach area of height 73 cm and depth 35 cm.
Auditive: The visit to the castle is very intuitive and the Museum provides printed information.
It has informative signs for moving around the interior and identifying zones of interest. In the
ticket office and shop of the Castle the personnel do not know Sign Language and have not
received specific training. There are no guided visits in SL.
Visual: It is recommended to visit the Castle with a companion because in the interior there
are changes of level and inclination without signage – steps, ramps or cordoned zones. There is
a relief map of the two floors of the Castle situated to the right of the main entrance. There is
no informative material in Braille. There are audioguides in several languages.
PILAR AND JOAN MIRÓ FOUNDATION
Physical:
• Exterior:
- Exterior access via an inclined surface 1.45 m wide, 68 cm long and with an inclination
of 13%.
- Exterior paving of stone slabs which do not hamper walking, with unlevelled tree pits.
- Some grilles with gaps of 3 cm.
• Interior:
- Double interior doors, each door 85 cm wide.
- Reception desk 1.08 m high, without adapted space for wheelchair users.
- Interior paving: as in the exterior.
- Interior circulation: circulation width ≥1.90 m.
- There are projecting elements at less than 2 m height without signage at ground level.
Exit ramp from ground floor towards cafeteria with door 1.10 m wide which does not have a
landing of 1.50 m without being swept by the door. Length of ramp, 2 sections of 9.90 m and
8 m, width 1.08 m and 1.38 m, and inclination of 8%. Handrail at height 80 cm. First section
with baseboard of 2 cm, second section with baseboard of 10 cm.
- Gardens: circulation along a raised wooden walkway, with ramps with an approximate
inclination of 6%, inclined sections of maximum length 6 m. Height difference of 10-15 cm
between the wooden walkway and the gravel zones.
- Entrance to the Sert Workshop via a door 1.13 m wide with a step of 4 cm. Interior
circulation: width 1.13 m, reduced to 73 cm at some points.
• Lift: width 1.08 m, depth 1.39 m, door 80 cm wide. Control panels at height 1.02 m,
handrail at height 93 cm. No ISA, no indication of floor on entry.
Interior and exterior lifts to overcome the various height differences. Width 71-82 cm, length
81-94 cm.
• Toilet reserved for wheelchair users with ISA sign.
The door, 75 cm wide, opens outwards.
Turning diameter: Ø 1.50 m.
Side approach space of 76 cm.
Alarm button.
Height of washbasin 80 cm.
Lower approach area of height 65 cm and depth 26 cm.
Note: Located in basement floor 1. Accessed via a corridor of width ≥1.38 m.
Auditive: no informative material in Sign Language, but most of the works and/or spaces have
signs in various languages. There are no guided visits in SL nor SL guides. Part of the enclosure
hosts temporary and/or itinerant exhibitions.
Visual: the interior paving is mainly smooth and homogeneous, without gaps; it is
recommended to make the visit with a companion because some zones/works are delimited
with easily detectable railings but others are not, and there is no podotactile signage indicating
the direction of the visit. In addition, in view of the itinerant or temporary nature of certain
exhibitions, there could be projecting elements not detectable with a stick. No information in
Braille.
In the exterior, the paving changes texture, passing from gravel to stones; the gardened zones
are mainly delimited and/or levelled; there are no tree pits or gaps which could hamper
movement.
POBLE ESPANYOL (SPANISH VILLAGE)
Physical:
- Access: door 2.03 m wide with a step of 6 cm.
- Reception desk 1.14 m high, without adapted space for wheelchair users.
- Paving: stone paving which may hamper walking.
- Height differences of 3-4 cm in the access courtyard, with high-contrast signalling.
- Circulation width ≥2 m.
- Width of interior passages 1 m.
- Some grilles with gaps of 4 cm.
- Tree pits with edging of 2 cm.
- Unsignalled height differences.
- Interior inclined surfaces with inclination of 8-20%.
- Some streets with extreme slopes.
- Most of the visitable constructions are only accessible via stairways.
• Lift for accessing the level of entrance to the visitable zones: width 75 cm, depth 1.15 m,
doors 90 cm wide.
• Toilet reserved for wheelchair users with ISA sign.
The door, 87 cm wide, opens inwards.
Turning diameter: Ø 1.40 m.
Side approach space with fixed (non-raising) bar.
No alarm button.
Height of washbasin 81 cm.
Lower approach area of height 66 cm and depth 28 cm.
Note: access via the corridor of the “Alhambra Lounge,” 1.23 m wide with door 1.05 m wide
Auditive: There is no informative material in SL but the visit is very intuitive.
Visual: this is a polyvalent space and the visit cannot be made without a companion due to the
lack of podotactile path and signage of changes of level and inclination. Guide dogs are
admitted and guided visits are organised for groups, with a duration of approximately 45
minutes.
