To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to recommend Daniele Lorusso for employment. Daniele recently completed his MSc in Public
Policy at University College London’s School of Public Policy. During this time, I worked with Daniele as his
dissertation supervisor on an ambitious project that explored the implications of labor mobility for economic
integration, relying on a historical study of the Zollverein – the 19th century German customs union – and
quantitative analysis of modern EU data for evidence.
As Daniele’s dissertation supervisor, I had the opportunity to observe first-hand his problem-solving, analytical,
and time-management abilities. His skills in examining and assessing the insights of existing research and
applying them to his own work are superb. His novel approach to exploring the role of language in impacting
labor mobility proved to be quite successful, especially as information on migratory flows within the Zollverein
was easier to access and analyse than data on contemporary intra-EU migration. Daniele was a pleasure to
supervise, receiving feedback and constructive criticism with careful consideration and exhibiting a high level of
motivation to complete a very strong original research project.
Based on his performance, I highly recommend Daniele Lorusso. Daniele would be a valuable contributor to
any employer, and I endorse he for any endeavour he chooses to pursue. Do feel free to contact me with any
questions or inquiries.
