This document describes an embedded water purification system that uses ozone gas produced from corona discharge to treat drinking water and purify air. The system employs a high voltage transformer driven by a microcontroller to generate ozone from air in a discharge tube. The amount of ozone output can be controlled by varying the input voltage to the microcontroller. The ozone treatment can disinfect 5 liters of water in about 2 minutes. The system also has overvoltage protection to prevent damage from voltage spikes or surges.
