1. Letter/ Statement of Intent
Dear Sir,
I would like to introduce myself with you as a freshly graduate student. Recently I have completed my
Undergraduate from the department of Pharmacy Dhaka International University. However I would
like to have a Post graduate degree in the Following program include in my CV. Every individual is
unique and has his or her own thinking and planning about life to make it more colorful. In this pathway
he proceeds to achieve things to adorn his life according to his own desire. My long term career objective
is to pursue a research career as a faculty and a researcher in a reputed university. Graduate Study at your
department would be the first step towards this goal.
I believe that, the secret of success is motivation, in other words how much motivated does a person to his
works. A student can give full devotion to his studies only when he enjoys this; success will come as a
consequence. As I was able to choose my field of study which I was interest in, I used to read everything
with great zeal and enthusiasm; which is reflected in my undergraduate’s results. I secured the Sixth
position in B.PHARM (Hon’s) in Pharmaceutical science exam and my CGPA is 3.69 out of 4.00. After
completing my graduation I joined in English medium Institute as a Lecturer, but I always wanted to work
in the lab oratory, have access to the sophisticated instruments and bring my hard earning theoretical
knowledge to the applied field. As soon as I discovered that, there is nothing beyond the routine work in
the quality control laboratory and I have very little to contribute with my knowledge, I decided to leave
the job. Although the job did not have much contribution to my career, it did have some impact to shape
my career goals. I learnt how to operate sophisticated instruments in the laboratory, for example: UV-
Visible spectrophotometer, FTIR, HPLC etc. The experience of the job enabled me identify what I was
looking for.
I always wanted to build a research oriented career having expertise from a renowned university in
Abroad, which is the harbinger of all types of modern research and education.
In the last semester I have conducted research on improving the hyperglycemic condition exacerbated by
corticosteroid, Hydrocortisone with anti-diabetic drugs Metformin and Vildagliptin and comparing their
therapeutic activity using Alloxan induced diabetic rats.This is my driving force to seek Post graduation
positions in laboratories where such type of advanced research is carried out.
So if you give me a chance to work with you, I will try my best to keep a significant contribution in the
relevant field. Also I would like to get a Scholarship from your University fund for continuing my post
graduation. In this connection a copy of my complete CV is attached herewith for your kind evaluation
