Stacks allow you to organize and access files, folders, and applications directly from the Dock in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Dragging a folder to the right side of the Dock creates a stack. The Documents stack is pre-made to store presentations, spreadsheets, and other documents. Clicking a stack fans out or grids its contents for easy access.
