Chris Schroer, a third-year culinary management
student who helped organize the trip, said they
were drawn to Grey County in part because of
the diversity of foods it offers.
“We’re trying to educate student chefs on the
amazing foods of Ontario,” said Schroer, who
bought bags of produce and preserves to take
                        back to Toronto with him.
“We really want to connect with the producers
and that’s why we chose to come here.”
